Our Medical Advisory Board is comprised of licensed medical professionals representing the multiple disciplines that address musculoskeletal health. The professionals on the board provide varying points of view while guiding the development of all solutions featured on this website. This includes product selection, content review, appropriate rehabilitation exercises and workouts, as well as general insight into the world of musculoskeletal health.
Todd
Borus, MD
Dr. Borus is an orthopedic surgeon with subspecialty interest in arthritis and joint replacement surgery at Rebound,
Inc., the premier Orthopedic and Neurosurgery clinic in southwest Washington
and the Portland, OR metropolitan area. Team physicians for Portland
Trail Blazers. He went to Williams College and received his MD from Mount
Sinai School of Medicine. Dr. Borus did his internship and residency at the
University of Michigan and his fellowship in adult reconstructive and joint
replacement surgery at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.
Kristen Kratzert, MD, FACOG
Dr. Kratzert is a board certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist and the managing physician at Women’s Wellness Place in Syracuse, NY. She graduated from Hamilton College, received her MD from Sackler School of Medicine, Tel Aviv University / NY State Program and completed her residency in Obstretics and Gynecology at New York University, Bellevue Hospital Center.
David
Levin, MD
Dr. Levin is an orthopedic surgeon specializing
in the treatment of a wide range of spine and neck conditions including degenerative disc disease, scoliosis, and
traumatic injuries. A graduate of Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York
City, Dr. Levin completed his residency in orthopedic
surgery at the University of Michigan and his fellowship training at New York
University. Dr. Levin practices at St. Francis Hospital, Indianapolis, IN. #1
in Indiana for joint replacement surgery two years in a row and is among
the top-five percent in the nation for joint surgery
Baltej Maini, MD
Dr.
Maini is currently an advisor to large provider organizations. He is a
past President and CEO of Fallon Clinic, the largest private, multi-specialty
group health care practice in Central Massachusetts, with 240 physicians at 26
locations. He is also past Chair, Department of Surgery at Fallon Clinic
and St. Vincent Hospital. Dr. Maini is trained as a vascular surgeon and
completed his residency at Boston University
Hospital and earned his MD from All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
Douglas McKeag, MD
Dr. McKeag is Chairman of the Department of
Family Medicine at Indiana University. Additionally, he is a consultant
to the Indianapolis Colts Football Club and head team physician for IUPUI
athletic teams and Zionsville High School teams. Dr. McKeag received his MD
from Michigan State University, completed an internship at the Presbyterian
Hospital, Pacific Medical Center and the Family Practice Residency at the Grand
Rapids Area Medical Education Program. Dr. McKeag then completed concurrent
fellowships in Family Practice and Adolescent Medicine at Michigan State.
Dr. McKeag is considered one of the founding fathers of Primary Care
Sports Medicine and is a past president and founder of the American Medical
Society for Sports Medicine.
Keith Puri, DC
A data and outcomes oriented chiropractor,
Dr. Puri is cofounder of ChiroCare Associates, in Arlington, MA. He is also developing
the Chiropractic Department at UMass/Memorial Medical Center's Spine Center,
which is the major teaching affiliate for the University of Massachusetts
Medical School.
Raymond Raven, MD
Dr. Raven is a board-certified Orthopaedic
Surgeon with subspecialty training in Hand & Upper Extremity Surgery. Dr.
Raven has clinical and surgical expertise in joint replacement and arthritis
surgery, trauma and reconstructive surgery, arthroscopic and 'minimally
invasive' surgery, microsurgery (nerve and small vessel repair), and congenital
and pediatric surgery. Dr. Raven received his MD and did his internship and
residency at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). He then did
fellowships at St. Luke's/Roosevelt Hospital, New York (Hand and Upper Extremity
Surgery). Texas Scottish Rite Children's Hospital, Dallas (Congenital Upper
Extremity Surgery), and Institut Kaplan, Barcelona, Spain (Surgery of the Hand
and Wrist).
Alicia
Silva, MSPT
Alicia is a physical therapist, yoga teacher, and published author. She received her BS
and MSPT from Boston University and then worked in acute
care at the University of Michigan and Boston Medical Center. Alicia
transitioned to working in an outpatient setting and founded her own practice,
Expect Fitness, in 2003. She has numerous publications including the book, Preventing
and Managing Back Pain During Pregnancy. Alicia is a registered yoga
teacher at the 200 hour level. She lives in Norwood, MA with her husband and
two children. She loves to run and cook.
Alan Slootsky, DMD, MAGD
Dr. Slootsky is a dentist in Pompano Beach, FL with a focus on implant dentistry. Dr. Slootsky received his DMD from the College of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark, New Jersey and his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University. He attained a Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) in 1983 and a Mastership of the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD) in 1995. He is a Pankey Institute alumnus and is now co-chair of the crown and bridge department of the Atlantic Coast Dental Research Clinic and has lectured to Dentists, Doctors and Hygienists on Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMJ).
